EAST PROVIDENCE -- United Methodist Elder Care (UMEC), 30 Alexander Ave., will hold an “after hours” open house and informational session on Thursday, May 23, at 5 p.m. for people interested in taking a closer look at the facility and learning more about UMEC. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres and a tour of the complex.
SWANSEA – Gerry Columbo will pay tribute to Frank Sinatra with a performance scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. on May 30 at the senior center, 260 Ocean Grove Ave.
SEEKONK – A free cardiac care clinic is scheduled for May 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the senior center, 320 Pleasant St. The clinic will be staffed by two nurses from South Coast Hospital. Take advantage of the opportunity to have your cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure levels checked.
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) and AARP will host a free workshop on how to ride RIPTA at Scouter’s Municipal Hall, 13 Main St., North Smithfield, on May 15, at 10:30 a.m.
