Gov. Chafee recently made headlines with his initial refusal to release Ken Block’s study on public assistance waste and fraud. When finally revealed, the study didn’t quantify dollar amounts but did point to general areas in need of improvement to prevent losses to Rhode Island’s social welfare systems.
