We’re proud when our grandchildren grow in knowledge such as when they first learn their ABCs. Unfortunately, when we qualify for Medicare, we discover that we have to learn our ABCs all over again, and it’s a lot tougher this time around.
During the recent graduation season, parents and grandparents proudly celebrated the accomplishments of the students in their families. In past years, however, those celebrations were often marred by the realization that graduation had a down side: The new graduates would lose access to their parents’ health insurance plans.
